About us
Biseika Galeria Dos is a Machiya style gallery centered on dolls (Japanese dolls, Bisque dolls, Antique dolls, etc.) and all kinds of artworks located in the north of Kyoto, Japan. The gallery first opened on October 1st 2011, on the day of the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine Festival, after the renovation of the 80-year-old kyomachiya (traditional Kyoto townhouse).
The first floor of the gallery is a Japanese style space with tatami floors, while the second floor has European style furniture.
Temporary exhibitions
We hold group exhibitions of dolls during spring and autumn every year.
These exhibitions can be visited without reservation, free of charge.

Permanent exhibition
We have a permanent exhibition of dolls and artworks.
To visit the the gallery outside exhibition dates, please make a reservation in advance.
During the temporary exhibitions it is not possible to visit the permanent exhibition.
Doll・Artwork acquisition and contact
For inquiries and clients that are interested in purchasing a doll or artworks please fill the following forms and we will contact you as soon as possible. Some of our staff members do not speak English, so please write in Japanese if possible.

For the temporary exhibitions there will be a lottery to acquire artworks on the first day, the remaining pieces will be sold as usual. Applications can be made online until the day before the opening or in the gallery.

Opening hours during temporary exhibitions:
11:00 am - 17:00 pm (Last day of the exhibition 11:00 am - 16:00 pm)

Getting here on foot
・About 10 minutes walk from JR Enmachi Station.
・About 10 minutes walk from Randen Kitanohakubaicho Station.

From JR Kyoto Station, take Kyoto City Bus number 26 or 205,
get off at Kitano Junior High School (北野中学前) and walk for 5 minutes.
